Please note that this
Helpline is staffed by volunteer clinical psychotherapists.
During peak times, calls to the Helpline can be excessive
and therefore your call may not be able to be answered
straight away. If this is the case, please leave your
name and contact details, along with brief details of
why you need help. The NACHP will endeavour to respond
to you within 48 hours.
Callers should be aware that the UK
Helpline is not a diagnostic service. Its
purpose is to provide the caller with details of an appropriate
therapist in the caller's area who may be able to help. Calls
are not recorded and confidentiality is maintained at all
times. We will ask consent from callers to pass on information
to a counsellor/hypnotherapist/psychotherapist necessary
to provide adequate details for assessment.
Any further privacy or data protection enquiries should
be made to The Ethics and Standards Committee of the NACHP
at the address below.

to email us with your request for a therapist, please
include the following:
An email address where we can send confidential information
relating to your request for a therapist.
A brief description of why you need help (e.g. have
been depressed, or have a fear of heights, etc).
The area where you seek a therapist and the radius
you are willing to travel to visit a therapist.
Please note that we do not supply 'lists' of therapists
in an area. We will advise you on the most appropriate
counsellors/hypnotherapists/psychotherapists in your designated
area that hold the relevant qualifications and experience
to deal with your request.
